The medical record, read and ready for argument.
AngelMedLegal turns thousands of pages of scanned medical records into structured, citable clinical evidence — every fact traced back to the exact page it came from.
A single matter can hide 2,000 pages of unsorted records.
Records arrive from multiple providers — rotated, out of order, incomplete, poorly scanned, sometimes without any text layer at all. The chronology, the treatment gaps, and the causation story are all in there. Finding them is slow, and missing one is costly.
- 15–40 billable hours per caseroutinely spent on record review alone
- A missed encounter or prior-injury notecan change the analysis of an entire matter
- Every assertion needs a citationdocument and page references, suitable for review
Clinical structure, provenance, and legal-grade traceability aren’t optional extras here — they are the whole point. A summary you can’t cite is a summary you can’t use.
AngelMedLegal was built from the clinical side of the problem first, then fitted to the demands of legal review — not the other way around.
From scanned paper to a structured, cited case file.
Upload the records as they came in. The platform repairs, reads, and organizes them into a single chronological case view — with a citation behind every fact.
1 · Ingest
Resumable uploads up to 10 GB, ZIP case ingestion, versioning and change detection on re-upload.
2 · Repair
Rotation correction, page reordering, blank-page detection and re-OCR lift source quality before a word is read.
3 · Extract
Structured extraction across 17 clinical, narrative and legal domains — grounded, schema-strict, cited to the page.
4 · Review
A unified chronology, a grounded assistant, annotations and PDF comparison — open any fact to its exact source page.
Four principles built into every extraction.
Provenance first
Every extracted entity carries document and page references. In the interface, each fact is a link that opens the exact source page — no claim without a receipt.
Grounded extraction
Strict schemas, deterministic settings and explicit extraction-only instructions keep the output tied to what the records actually say.
Input repair
Defective scans are the norm, not the exception. Orientation, ordering and missing-page handling are fixed up front so extraction starts from clean input.
Legal-specific intelligence
Work-status and causation analysis are first-class outputs, produced alongside the clinical record — not bolted on afterward.
Designed around how records actually arrive.
Everything a reviewer needs, in one case workspace.

No cross-tenant data path
Each law firm is its own isolated tenant. Authentication binds users to a single firm, every data endpoint is scoped to it, and identical content across firms never shares a result.
Patient data is treated the way the law expects.
Tenant isolation, per-firm storage boundaries, encryption at rest and in transit, revocable sessions and full audit trails are built in — because medical-legal work doesn’t get a second chance with sensitive records.

AngelMedLegal is in production and working with early personal-injury and medical-legal practices. Client names and results will appear here as partnerships go public.
Built by someone who has read the chart at 3 a.m.
AngelMedLegal is led by Timothy Angelotti, MD, PhD — a board-certified anesthesiologist and critical-care physician. The product reflects a clinician’s instinct for what matters in a record, and where a summary can quietly go wrong.
Meet the founder“A medical summary is only useful to a lawyer if every line can be traced back to the page it came from. That traceability is the product.”
